Having trouble figuring out how to set the 2188. My father recently passed and he always did that kind of stuff and now I wish I would have listened more. I will be straight cutting wheat. Any chance someone would be willing to post pictures of setting the sieves and concave. The manual is just not clear enough for me. Thanks in advance.

Fill in a signature and let us know where you are from. I would start with 1/2" gap top sieve (Chaffer), 1/4" bottom, rotor 900-950, fan maxed out, 1050-1100, concaves tight. Do some searches in old posts. The harvest services website has good info on how your combine works. Start somewhere and then make one adjustment at a time and see what the results are.

Sorry to hear about your loss. There are a lot of helpful guys on the forums. They should be able to get you going.

Do you know if it has specialty rotor or accelerator kit? For wheat, put all small wire concaves in. Run rotor at max, fast as it will go. Might need cover plates on first row. Concave up all the way tight. Wind pretty much max. 1/2" on top and 1/4" on bottom sieve is good place to start, might have to open or close bottom sieve based on how clean/dirty sample is in tank. Good luck, lots of these units out there still and they are very easy to set.

Dont forget to lower your feeder chain to the lowest position. dont know what other crops you harvest, but here we go from corn to wheat. if you leave it in the upper position, you could have feeding issues. Never be ashamed to ask a question on this forum, we all started somewhere. Sorry about your dad!
