We put new pickup belts on the header but we cant get them to track straight or turn. These were all new belts from westward parts. Anyone have any idea how get them straight.

Loosen them off. Run them as loose as possible. Make sure the over lap is on top so there is no edge to catch on the inside against the rollers.

What are you harvesting? I was doing tough canola last year and there was junk building up on the rollers(inside the belt) causing them to track poorly, had to take belts off and clean a couple of times. I agree with steigerman to run belts looser because when too tight the rollers deflect and belts go offline. I wonder if this is more of an issue with the larger belts???

We just changed our belts as well to westward. My neighbor said he takes off the outside teeth so it doesn't pull stuff into the roller. We haven't done that yet and so far no troubles. We are picking up french green lentils. We don't like the IH pick ups very much. They just get by.

Not totally gone yet, I still pull Melroe teeth off of my openers every year.
