Just about to take delivery of a cat 855. It's being trucked as I write. After leaving it running on the truck in temperatures of -20 and below two warning lights have come on. Both lights are for track tension, left and right . Is this a result of the cold and idling with thicker oil or is a sign of more serious problems. When I looked at the tractor and drove it before buying it all worked good.
Thanks

Nothing to do with idling most likely. Just the -20. Track tension will go down in the extreme cold and up in the extreme heat. Let it be (unless you plan to use it right now) until it gets to close to the temp you plan to use it in, then check it. There is a read out right in the screen that will tell you exactly what it is. Use the hose in the tool box, connect it to the track tension cylinder, and then into a remote to get it back up to 2,900-3,000 psi if needed.

Yep, just the nature of the beast, nothing to worry about, as soon as it is 10 above it will be normal, if pressures read vastly diff from one side to the next put the hose on. Only ever done it on my 865 one time but my hose never showed up with the tractor
