The throwout bearing on a Rockford PTO went out, with collateral damage. I have a Twin Disc thats almost new I will install in its place. The Twin Disc has a 3 piece clutch plate.

I'm looking for suggestions on getting the three pieces aligned to mate with the drive gear.

don't you unbolt drive gear from motor and use it to get everything in line then bolt it back to engine? its a ring drive that unbolts right?

That is how I did it. I thought it would be a bigger PITA than it was to bolt the drive gear in place through the adjustment hole. I slid the entire clutch unit in on 3 bolts 5" long that I had cut off the heads. That gave me both hands to get the drive gear into the pilot on the flywheel.
