Just wondering what people are using for settings on the 670. Seem to be getting to much for returns. Mainly thinking for canola around 8 percent moisture. Thanks.

Hey,
try 500-600 rpm on the drum, concave 25-35mm
Fan 800-900rpm
Top sieve 13 +/- 2mm
Bottom sieve 6 +/- 1mm
Open the disawning plates, so that you don't move to much material to the walkers.
Make sure u have the slotted pre-concaves without keystocks (too aggressive)

Give it a try. If it is showing losses, make a killstall to really check if there are any. It is a bit tricky in canola!

What sieves are in your machine? Is it a corn machine or small grains

Run the cylinder as fast as possible without grain damage.
The APS and cylinder setup is the same as the hybrids and a higher speed can greatly reduce a plugged APS and/or cylinder.
I've seen 700 sometimes.
