Anyone know if the newer Lexions are compatible with JD autosteer systems? Already have deere gps just want to check and make sure I don't have to buy another system before I do.
Whenever I move say from one side of a field to the other I think about Deere and the one screen, one touch track centering as opposed the that stupid rigamarole you have to do on a Trimble.
What a FPITA.
Absolutely junk user friendly wise!
If you go Deere auto steer can't you just use CEBIS yield stuff?
That's all I want it to do, yield mapping is of no use in a. seed. And I have 2 or 3 deere systems sitting around that time of year with nothing to do.
Is it plug and play? I don't see anything on the site linked above.
Ours steers with Greenstar, Hyd valve & using our RTK network here and does it well. You need at least a ITC receiver and 2630 screen, all the hardware is JD, Landpower here in Aus have set up quite a few now combines and tractors our Axion 930 runs the same system very well. As far as getting it oversees I think you need your dealer combine specialist to talk to theirs and work out a kit I don't think they want to have systems working in other countries without tech support, it always seems to go pear shaped without it, but once you have it it's good no dramas, so far.
What I should of said first up is NO there not compatible (as far as plug and play type setup)BUT you can get Greenstar to steer a Lexion, NO yield mapping just steering and do it well. Now read my previous post thanks
Thanks for the info guys, my dealer is looking into it. I have a 3000 receiver and 2630 that I could run in it and we are all connected up to a RTK network here in the valley, so it would be great not to have to buy another system.
So after talking with the dealer it's going to be slightly cheaper to do the adapter to run JD autosteer. BUT not enough that I think its worth it, will probably end up going with the Trimble 750 or 1000 instead
I have a lexion 580 that I just put a John Deere ATU in to get auto steer works pretty good and cheaper than trying to get a built in system to work although a built in system would probably look nicer.
