Does anyone have a good long-term fix for a leak at the top of the clean grain elevator in a 9510. This is a leak that developed behind that little plate that can be removed at the top of the elevator. The combine has only 1600 sep hours so I didn't expect to see a leak like this with this few hours. This is on a combine I'm looking at possibly buying.

Thanks.

Well I don't know about a long term fix, but on my 9600 I had the same leak (i think) and I put some duck tape over it. It lasted all season on mine.

You might be able to fasten some extra sheet metal to it some how. Also, there is always the option of replacing all of the upper elevator ($$$, but they do sell those parts).

I like duck tape, not as much long-term as it is imitatively effective.

The weld-in patch is probably what I need. Your link only brought up a blank JD parts screen. If you have a part number I could do a "where used" search on the JD site.

Thanks so much for your time.

The part number is : AH142630

If your in the sectional index for a 9510 under "upper clean grain loading auger housing" that is where that link was supposed to go. Hope that helps.
