I am struggling with getting cob in the sample of my corn. I can get it set for this high yielding corn this year. I have a CR940 and for the best parts of the field I have the presieve opened all the way up to get any capacity at all. But when i'm opening up the field around the woods I start getting cob in the sample because I can't hardly keep the rotors full. any suggestions?

I am new to the site but have been a NH tech for 5 years now. I deal with farmers everyday and questions they might have. Sometimes Im right but sometimes Im wrong. I would say if you can't keep the rotors full, try slowing down the rotor speed increasing ground speed. You will get a few more cobs when the rotors aren't full because you don't get the grain on grain threshing.
