Where do dealers come up with engine hours and seperator hours on combines like 7720's and 8820's when they dont have a meter for seperator hours? Am I missing something?
there is a meter but you have to crawl down on top of the walkers and right next to the beater there is a wheel with a hamster or it could be a rat on it that sees the grain going by so it starts running on the wheel making the meter run
Which is where Deere gets it's separator hours today, so it's actually header hours.
I think they're the only one that does it that way.
And it is the fairest from a actual use stand point.
