Just finished putting new concave, beater grate, and bars in. All deere parts, my question is how to level the concave. I was thinking 1/4" on all four spots, but I read some people say 1/4" front 1/8" back. Also on the concave stop do I just need to let the bars rub then go up a bit and set the stop. Thanks in advance.

There are all kinds of theories on this, sorta depends on what crops your going to be doing with the machine. In my crops I set it .25 front and back, used a .25 piece of key stock to do it in each inspection cover. I was mostly doing wheat and alfalfa seed with mine.

I believe in setting the concave to a wedge, go for 3/8 - 1/2" open in front
and pull the rear hangers to closed in the back. I used a spacer to do the
clearance in the front, and with the cylinder in free wheel, carefully use
a feeler gauge to get both sides adjusted the same in the back.

Important for wheat especially, so you can thresh up front push it through the
concave, so you don't put it up on the walkers.
