We’re roughly even, I don’t know much about them either.Don: I don't know much about the buddy wheel system, but would it be possible to make a set of wheel scrapers like those used on planters? Positioned right they might scrape off the mud and keep things from balling up?
I would agree. The wheels themselves were only building up an inch or two but would fling mud at the header frame and they would jam there. We’re roughly even, I don’t know much about them either.
However, due to the very little amount of weight carried by header gauge wheels relative to a planter I would guess the scraper drag would be enough to stop the wheel from turning, still buggered. S.W.A.G..
The hills we got we would scrape dirt up with header, with the Contour Buddy not once did I scrape dirt up, the wheels are closer to the cutter bar, would flex soonerI run in flex all the time with the regular guage wheels. See absolutely no benefit to a set of buddy wheels.
I assume you mean tilt, the fine tuning of header angle is the secret to best cutting of lodged crop.Don, was very surprised how well it work in lodged crop, love the till and Reel on the Header , without that not sure it would work on lodged crop,
