Just wanting to know if anyone has ever added a harrow bar to a 3 bar to make it a 4 bar, and what it takes to do so. Thanks!

I’ve looked at a summers 3 bar wondering if I could add a row and quickly dropped the idea.
To add another bar to any harrow and get the desired result from it, you have to reposition basically every tine on the existing harrow to get the proper tine spacing.

Good point, I had never thought about tine spacing, but if I were to add a bar I would probably be replacing all the tines so they would be starting from new and wear evenly. I think a John Deere would be easier than a Summers to get tine spacing right because the coils are bolted on to a bar not slid onto a tube.
