I'm looking at purchasing a kit from Master Industries out of Loreburn, Sk. to convert my 8 inch Sakundiak auger to a conveyor. Just curious if there is anybody on the forum that has done this and how it turned out. Thanks
There are companies that make cleated belts. Some of them have pretty aggressive cleats and can run fairly steep. Not sure what's out there for conversion kits though! It would be nice to convert the mounted augers on air tanks, but they probably run at too steep of an angle for a belt to work.
A fellow that use to clean my seed years ago did one of there conversions. It worked good but when it turned cold the belt they used then was hard to get started. The belting didn't have a high rubber content then maybe they have since changed...but then for seeding it won't be to cold.I'm looking at purchasing a kit from Master Industries out of Loreburn, Sk. to convert my 8 inch Sakundiak auger to a conveyor.
