We're looking into upgrading from our TR98 and are wondering what the difference in fuel consumption is between the 900 series CRs and the 9000 series in similar crops. High diesel prices and bad tier 3 reports have us loving the TR.

We went from a 200hp TR88 to a 295hp CR940 so we can't really compare the 2 but the CR is thirsty. Likes to drink. Specially if conditions aren't right. If things are running smooth and your power boost isn't kicking in all the time it seems to not be that bad.

Take care,

After one year on the 04 CR970 and we are impressed. Its a little lacking in the hills, but most are. But 11 gallons/hour is not much more than our TR with way more acres done in a day.

Any comparison between the 04s and the 06's jester?

And what are the improvements that are much better in the 9070s?

The power is noticeable Jester but fuel consumption is only 5 liters per hour more at engine power limit. Something like 94 vs 89 if memory serves.

ah yes, the blue sticker. The 1st thing my wife noticed and wanted.

The feeder chain thing speaks to me. broke ours this year but now we put a harvest services plastic one in and its a pretty sweet ride.

Sounds like some small but noticeable changes, which is usually the most important

Just figured out the yearly average for our CR960. Did 10.53 gph for the year. that ranges from 12gph to 9.5 depending on the load. thats comparable to what the TR98 did at 12gph. And we do a lot more with this one.
