thinking of modifying the right hand chain jackshaft. Two plates, inside and outside of new shaft and cast bearing carriers, with sprockets inside the new frame. Sick of trying to perfectly align the sprockets and the annual bearing replacement. Any one else had a go at it or any ideas?

I put a smaller sheave on the beater shaft that drives the clean grain elevator and bubble up auger. I don't harvest corn so don't need high capacity. I slowed it down 35% and hope to save on some wear and tear.
