I have soybean stems on the top sieve/chaffer and am wondering if I need the rotor discharge beater grate covers. Does anyone run the covers in beans or corn? Or is the stem problem from something else? I am going to raise beater grate to see if that helps before buying covers. Any help would be great. thanks

Thanks for the info, seems to be more of a problem in damp/tough conditions. Are they bolted in? Do you lay on sieve to install? Thanks

Installed beater covers ... fixed problems, no stems on sieve and much better spread of material.
