Hi Guys,
Having issues with my 03 CR940 with 2000 engine hours. I have owned it for 11 years now.
Data logger started playing up 2 years ago,"Not logging to card"
Dealer couldn't fix it so we uninstalled it.
Last year it was the self leveling shoe.
Dealer eventually diagnosed that the "harvester was not sending a signal to the shoe".
The motor still works but once again, he uninstalled the SLS.
Half way through this harvest I get "E0076.05 fanspeed motor line disconnected"
Luckily I did not need to adjust the fan but I will need to fix this during the off season.
Any ideas......dealer is thinking one of the CCM's?
Is there a common harness or could it be the CCM?
Starting to get frustrated and dealer is only guessing
Cheers, Bardo

I have a the same message as your last problem regarding the concave motor that im am going to fix as well. The dealer can test the ccm through the tech laptop, but based on your other problems the dealer seems a bit incompetent... I would try hooking up the fan adjuster to a battery to check if the motor works to rule that out. also check the fuses. I blew a fuse and the fan speed and reverser wouldnt work. with my concave motor we decided a wire has broken between the ccm under the buddy seat and the fuse pannel.

Before replacing a ccm for lots of $$$ I would do this
-check fuses
-test motor
-swap relay with a known working one, you should be able to hear it click with the key on accessory and "adjusting" fan
-using a tester and service manual make sure wires are good
-hook up ccm to dealer laptop and diagnose

hope you can get this figured out, wiring issues are a pain in the butt

Hi Bob,
Thanks for your reply and apologies for not acknowledging your reply earlier.
Harvest is done here and I will try to address the electrical issues sometime in the near future.
I checked the fuses (as you said) when the "fan error" occurred and did a visual on the wiring harness but all looked good.

I reread my original post and I was really hoping that someone may know if these issues could be related to say 1 harness or 1 CCM.
It is very expensive out here to get the dealer to travel and work through issues that they have not experienced before.

I cannot see how you may think that the dealer was incompetent based on what I said.
New Holland are the ones that are incompetent because they won't train the few mechanics they have to be able to deal with these complicated electrical issues.
New Holland seem happy to sell new combines, but once they get a bit of age on them, it's too bad.
We (or the mechanics) need phone access to specialist technicians that can help troubleshoot the problem before the mechanic gets to the farm.

The dealer knows of the three issues and has tried to fix the data logger and SLS issues, based on what he knows and NH have trained him with. I had not asked him to fix the fan error as our harvest was almost done and I could operate without it.
He is coming back in the "off season" to try and fix the above and the fan error.
I was just hoping to have a few ideas for him to work with.

If anyone has any more ideas, I would be very appreciative.
I will also keep the forum updated with any progress made but it will be a few months from now before I get the dealer back
Cheers, Bardo

CR 960 2004 model. Have you disconnected batteries?
Time and year will revert back to manufacture year.
Update time and year and you should be good.
Just solved this bloody problem with our NH tech.
All the codes disappeared.

Hey,

About the fan problem. you can easily check if the wires are fine. In diagnostics you can send voltage to the electrical fan engine. disconnect the connector and check if you receive 12 voltage. If you have power, it should be a bad fanspeed motor. It's not that difficult to put a new 1 in.

About the self leveling sieve... here you have 5 wires, 2 for the motor, 3 for the sensor. check also with diagnostics if he send power to the motor. for the sensor, you have voltage / ground / sensor output. I've read on forums that the sensor of this actuator can fail after several years. (are you harvesting on flat fields or with small hills?

Data logger.... no experience sorry
