Hello all i was just asking has anyone every had a cr 960 an a cr 970 side by side what % is the cr970 bigger in hot an dry conditions an in tough hard conditions

when i went on harvest we had a 960 and a 970 side by side. The 960 had a 36 foot head and the 970 had a 40 foot-both honey bees and that is the difference in my opinion 4 feet

tough conditions are when the 970s bigger rotors will shine. They don't lose RPM as much in slugs and seem to be able to spin through more. Less grunting than a 17 inch rotor. And a larger sieve area, to take care of the extra stuff you thresh. We're looking at probably 15% more capacity than a TR98 in all conditions. And a CR960 has the same rotor size as the TR98, more hp, but 10 to 12 thousand lbs more to drag around. Most dealers will say that a TR98 and a CR960 are quite similar in capacity.

we run a TR98 (30ft head) and a CR960 (36ft head) side by side and the CR outperforms the TR everytime..... but thats probably little tweaks to improve efficiency and the increase in hp, and not much to do with the rotors
