Anyone had a Wix fuel filter develop a crack?
Tonight could smell diesel from inside the cab. Thought a fuel line must have rubbed through on my 2188. However the end of the fuel filter(the one on the engine) had developed a circular crack and was spraying copious volumes of diesel all through the engine bay.

i deal with wix all the time and never had a problem

Never had that happen but I used to use WIX all the time on my semi. It seemed about every second fuel filter would give me problems, they would let air in somehow and make it hard to start. Switched to Fleetgaurd and never had that happen again. I stopped using their oil filters because I thought if the fuel filters are giving problems, I'm not gonna risk an oil filter failure.
