Hi Guys -- I'm installing an air reel from a 500 head that was on a R62 to a 300 head on a L3. Do the header drive shafts turn at the same speed? They are the same size. What about running ATF through the reel motor? Is that what a R62 uses for oil?

Yes, they turn at the same speed and are the same size. Also, yes they both run ATF through the reel motor. I've done similar, only moved it from a Series II head to 320 conventional and then when I got my R50, to a 320 rotary. I expect you will be very, very happy running it.
