We have a 1995 John Deere CTS, love the machine but we are having problems. From day one we have had problems getting through wet stalks, weeds or anything that was not bone dry. The john deere guys told us to speed up the beater with the double v drive from a 9650, we did that and now the beater light goes of at the drop of a hat. It does not plug up thank goodness, but that dam alarm is annoying as heck everytime you take off, go up a hill or do just about anything. Has anyone had similar problems or know anything that would help. It is really driving us and our local jd mech insane. Thanks

Im only guessing here, but perhaps the you need the RPM sensor from a 9650, as it was a 9650 you got the pulley from. And make sure its attached like it should (i.e. attached over the pulley in the right spot etc)
