Just bought a CTSii and would like to get some input as to initial setup for CPS wheat and Canola. When I bought the combine there was concave cover plates (inserts) on the front and rear. Cover plates run side to side, about 8 each front and back as I remember. Also 1 full row on rear of tine module grates.
The operator manual combine adjustment flow chart suggests to start with all inserts removed and add in as required. It is not a lot of work to remove them all to start but I'm wondering what the opinions of CTS owners is. Any other initial setups: fan speed, concave indicator, cylinder speed, precleaner. chaffer, sieve, and extension settings. Settings for CPS and Canola would be great as a start point, I'm sure the numbers would help a lot. Harvestrak numbers would also help.
Thanks,
John B
