Engine low power with black smoke. Connecting Cummins Insite fault code 559-Injector Metering Rail 1 Pressure - Data Valid - Below Normal Operating Range - Moderately Severe Level

Had a C9 Cat throw a similar type code ,Rang my mechanic ,told me to check fuel filters and such first. Turned out to be a blocked fuel suction hose. Worth a look at the easy / cheap stuff first.
Change fuel filters first. Then check further into it. Actual and command rail pressure are quite different. So if it's not a suction problem or a filter blockage then you may have a high pressure side leak.
you are right, we find the high pressure pump is worn out, it is unbelievable that the pump of the brand new engine is worn out. thank you once more.
