Any help with the cylinder speed on a L2 (wheat). It is set at 1100 rpm is this to fast?

A lot of variables here... wheat variety,moisture content, condition of cylinder bars and concave and cylinder clearence. We normally run in the 1050 to 1100 range with good bars and about 1/8th clearance. Run up to where it starts cracking kernels then back off a bit. Can't over emphasize the importance of cylinder bars being in good condition...

1100 should be a good place to start. We usually push 1200, just run it as fast as you can without damaging the grain.
