I looked at my S78 yesterday at the dealers and most things look good. But some things make me wonder.
The engine oil dipstick been placed on the front side off engine?
What a pain in the ars-e to check in that position.
The access door to the rotor is hard open because of the air cleaner been in the way. I cant see any reason why it cant be move back further.
At this stage I'm happy with it, just hope we can get rain to make a crop to try it out

Do you have to use DEF in your new S-78?
Yes they need to move the engine back 18"
18 inches back would also help balance those wide draper headers you use down under.
what with all of the technology these new units have i was not sure oil was needed anymore, and of course a dipstick should not be needed anyway as the ecm could provide all the info and protection you need. hmmmmm why would you rely on your eyes to actually give an indication of oil levels, have you had the proper training and accreditation to perform such an advanced task, do you have a degree, or is common sense your claim to fame? cause i am sure the engineer can substantiate his worth.
Ya - real wizards on that oil dip stick - also 4 ft long - really ??? the S77 is in a perfect spot, about the only real dislike so far on out S78. Would be nice to see a shaft speed on the cleaning fan - they could put it on the overhead and not duplicate the choke setting. Our belt was slipping a bit and fan was slowing - no way to know wtf was going on.
GB I don't want to upset you but no it does not have adblue sh-t otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. I don't know how long before Tier 4 is compulsory in Australia , it was meant to be 2015 but know one seems to know.

how stupid off me to make such rash comments without a degree, please except my apologies

Probably better off if you didn't mention DEF to silverrod ;)
He tends to speak a different language when that subject comes up. Usually has lots of descriptive words in it. :D

I thought you guys were still able to stay away from the DEF. How about we Americans give you the DEF regulations and also send you Barrok Owebama too? :)
