Oh man, I think you might hate yourself for starting this conversion b/c getting the correct spacing of engine vs drive train etc to get the proper belt length and then all the conversions i.e. the Deutz uses an oil heater to heat the cab, maybe it can convert to water, maybe not?, the engines run diff. rpm's so pulleys may have to be changed, also the tin work would have to be butchered and patched here and there. Perhaps you can find an R-70 and put that engine in, would probably take a day. The Deutz is bullet proof as long as you keep the intake air filter clean (Deutz turbo engines use tremendous amounts of air so filter maintenance is very NB) and the fins blown out about every 100 hours. ( I have 4 of them and haven't had 5 min trouble as long as I keep them clean). Failing all this, I would go get a job at Walmart for the winter so I could make payments on a newer combine, I think you would suffer less grey hair.

the n7 motor is in the R62 and the guy ran it all afternoon on 35% corn and thought the extra 300 rpms of the motor gave him a cleaner sample. Now he wants 300 more rpms on his R72 with Cummins. The only hiccup we had was the hyd motor needed to be redone to rotate the other direction.
