Was working on the lower rock trap folding door, as a hinge arm needed welding, like some others have posted. While welding, I noticed the unique smell of burnt hair, but I knew it wasn't mine, even though I was in short sleeves. Because the smell is so identifiable, and the fuzzy door bristle seal was very near the weld area, it dawned on me that the long bristles were animal hair.

I don't really have proof that the bristles are from an animal, but the smell was just like burnt hair. I simply found this interesting that in today's world, some equipment is still designed using very ancient methods. I am unsure of the type of animal that the hair came from, but probably not a cat.
