To piggy back on Don's theme of diesel and def, what are you guys using for high volume diesel transfer pumps. I'm setting up a 400bbl tank to secure enough diesel on hand for good part of the year. Will be filling a 500 gal tank on service trailer. What's your setup?

We just use a Chonda 2” pump with aluminum housing. Have to change out the rubber gaskets with cork. Same setup on the fuel wagon and keep a spare but haven’t had one fail anyways. The meridian wagon has a smaller hose/pump and nozzle and we’ll probably change it over to the 2” as well.

Yeah. The chonda’s with the aluminum pump housing that princess auto sells work great.

They are kinda the higher pressure rates pump less flow than the plastic bodies.
Diesel fuel will eat the rubber seal/flapper on the inlet and outlet flange so first thing you have to do is change those and cut out some cork ones to match.
Then buy a real fuel nozzle:

I can’t remember if we’re using 1-1/4 hose to it or 1-1/2. It’s the same stuff the fuel truck our supplier uses. A swivel on the end is nice too but spendy.
