I'm looking at draper heads and wondering what the biggest differences are between a macdon fd70 and the 974? Are the fd70's that much better or why do they want double over a 973,974? And i'll hook it up to an R72 so is it just an adapter plate like putting another brand on or is it more than that? Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't be afraid of the 973 or 74, from what I gather they feed the Gleaner better than the later one's. I would pick the 973.
