Went to move the combine from the machine shed to the hayshed to get the grain truck out and.

Bam broke the camshaft in the 1660

Add that to the list of emergency fixes before swathing.

What unexpected breakdowns have come at you guys out of the blue this year.

the camshaft is the last thing I thought would break this year. only 800hrs
but thats why I buy Cummins know these buggers better then my wife!!!

Rotor drive hub. Sheaves are OK. Usually opposite happens so there is none in Canada or Northern Tier states. Parts should be here tomorrow. Oh, its raining now.
Have been very reliable machines (9860's) and thought we had checked over everything. Would like several more years out of them, just close to 2000 separator hours now.
