It seems to me New Hollands must have less issues. When I ran my Cr 970 this year it ran so good that I was pleased. Other than commodity prices do not support new pricing of new equipment without a lot of equity, per acre we had less issues than other makes i have run thus less operating costs.

We ran a 970 and a 9860 JD side by side. Neither had big problems but the yellow was more trouble free than the green. The two ongoing issues we had was the JD air filter needed to be cleaned regularly-every two or three days. And we had to replace the JD fuel filters 4 times over the season. Both got fuel out of the same tank. The NH didn't have fuel or air problems. One thing I thought was better on the JD was the routine maintenance. Easier to service and grease. My .02

About the Deere's air filter "problems":

Haven't that been sorted out since they came out with the "air scoop" in front of the radiator?

I think it was JOJOBEAN who talked about that earlier on here...
