I'm sure by now many of you will have read or heard about what's going on with this. What a screwed up, over sensitive, uneducated world we live in. I'm sick of people, especially the screwed up, over sensitive uneducated ones.

It was definitely time for Don to call er quits but for not what he said on Saturday night(He has said a lot worse in the past). Totally agree with him but could have said it differently for the better.. The social media warriors are too sensitive for the real world.. I don't know what was worse.. The firing of Don or how Ron tossed him under the rug.. But hey lets support rainbow coloured poppies...

They fired him??? Yup, this world needs a serious reset. I completely agree with Cherry. EVERYONE needs to know why we have what we have. Many people payed with thier lives so others can enjoy the freedom. Freedom is not free, it is usually paid in blood.

I my mined he said nothing Wong. I though he was talking in general. People need to get thicker skin for god sakes. Most times then not the truth Hurts. For example someone tells you something and you don’t like it you get pissed off then you think about it for a bit and there right. The truth hurts.

Long time Iowa Hawkeye commentator Gary Dolphin was suspended for the season earlier this year when he made the comment that went something like- the guy was like King Kong in there- referring to an opposition team player rebounding outstandingly in a basketball game. The problem was that the player happened to be black and the soft headed social justice warrior maggots turned it into a racial situation because of course now Gary thinks all blacks are monkeys, nothing further from the truth.

Sadly a comment like that not too long ago would have been taken as a compliment, much like the player in question took it with no offense to it at all, yet not good enough for liberals.

Look up Liberal in the dictionary and it says "A whinging individual of questionable sexual identity, carrying a large chip on their shoulder, completely devoid of humour and prone to extreme beliefs which they impose on others at great social and financial cost to society."

This sets the bar for firing. Every time someone from or C Pravda B makes statements at this level or beyond about those of us who live outside the Canadian golden triangle demands for their termination should be made using this case as a reference point.

I haven't watched a hockey game on tv in years but always got a chuckle out of hearing Don speak his mind. I had pretty much figured Don was done last nite. I support what he said completely, and its true as well. Something like 1 in 20 or less you apparently see wearing a poppy in the GTA which was his point. Look at what happened last week over that girl in school over their abcdefghijk whatever poppy in school that she refused to support, don't hear about the other side of that in the media how the school board is scrubbing support for the girl from social media to hide it from the public and more, this whole BS has gone too far. I saw Ron's "apology" at lunch time on twitter, nothing but ass kissing to keep his job, I can imagine they tried to make Don do the same and I will bet anyone in the room thousands he told them point blank to GFYS. He was a known and respected supporter of our troops and veterans alike.

And remember, all these pansy ass bastards that are so offended...they are the same bastards that supported and had no issue with Trudope and his black face too, selective outrage is all it is. And remember what Trudope had to say about our veterans too...

K, guess you all know where I am at now lol.

A Canadian with a set of balls. We all think it he said it and full respect for him for not saying sorry
agree with him or not , his opinion is as important as any ones and he believes in what he says, This is very important today that the socialists can't shame a different opinion out of someone.Sportsnet is more worried about money

Like it has been said, just selective criticism.

Funny how Don Cherry can be slammed for people saying they have been "alienated" by his comments, while the west has been "alienated" for years from the east but yet we are told by the same people that we are just a bunch whiny ***** who should get over it. What a bunch of BS.

Maybe if the man would have used the term “people kind” that aren’t natural born citizens in his comments, things would have been fine, but I suspect that at this time and place, using legally specific terms about certain disrespects are hate crimes, while other disrespects of traditions must be mandatorily tolerated in silence.

One thing I just noticed, is that there are more Newfarmer123s in the world, and they are all bleeding heart Liberals that instantly get in a rage and start name calling and berating those that don't agree with their train of thought and take every word out of others mouths as an insult. Was on another local site and reading a thread there, those that agreed with Don make respectful posts, those that disagreed went on a rant calling others hillbillies and such. Guess that's just the way they roll. This whole story is solidifying my urge to give the world the middle finger and go build my tiny cabin off grid somewhere in the back 40 where I don't have to see what this world is becoming. It bothers me somewhat on such an important day as Remembrance Day when we are to remember those that served and died for our freedoms we enjoy today, and I can't help but feel we are heading down the same path those did so many years ago before the wars beginning with the lose of their freedom of speech. God rest those souls who died for my freedom, I will remember them.
