Utopia?
Canada seems to be pretty darn good. Australia, most European countries . At least until people forget history and elect rightwing nutjobs who proceed to destroy the economy and disappear for a couple election cycles .Then pop back up and do it all over again.
If you're so happy with other countries great, stay the **** out of the USA and quit worrying about us. There's literally hundreds of other countries out there for you, enjoy. Leave us alone. It used to really piss me off when people like you sit around and tell ys how to run our country now I realize there's not a **** thing you can do about it so you're not worth caring about.

In other news WOTUS is now no more, that is a great benefit to all.

Interesting. So if there are more Republicans in an area, more are likely to realize the Democrat idiot they are married to and marry a Republican. It's nice to know NF finds that link as informative. Or perhaps you want to go back and find more stats that prove your point that divorce, family values, most likely to break the law, etc is actually dependent on political ideology rather than geography.
I will take your side here NF. Since large urban centers lean left in US and Canada and those centers have the highest per capita crime rate and levels of poverty we can say the left leaning ideology is at fault. Correct? Yes. Based on what you just posted.

Anyway, now my daily chuckle is over this is looking like another scandal with our RCMP. Seems our RCMP has lots of them in recent years with Mark Norman and SNC lack of investigation to name this year's.

The Americans tipped off Canadians as to a spy within the RCMP who speaks Mandarin. Ok, just a coincidence there. His position put him right in the heart of knowing the status and details of key investigations. Now if you were running a fascist control enterprise it would be nice to know exactly how these things were progressing so you can pass the info on so efforts could be taken to derail, obstruct or even silence people able to do damage. Or it is simply boredom that makes people want to put spies at the investigation level. Rather than the James Bond kind of spying we are familiar with.

Multiple sources say they believe the allegations against Ortis are the nightmare national security scenario leak wise. Ortis had access to the most highly classified information in the government and with allies through the Five Eyes and NATO #cdnnatsec #natsec

Ortis had access to the following information: identities of undercover Canadian police and undercover Canadian agents operating domestically and abroad. There is now serious concern about whether any of those identities are compromised #cdnnatsec #natsec

Ortis had access to RCMP high level ops plans including national security, intl operations and criminal operations. Source says the information he had was so highly classified the investigators who seized it didn't have the security clearance to look at it #cdnnatsec #natsec

Source say Canadian and international operations may have to be paused until they can figure out what if anything was compromised by Ortis given his access #cdnnatsec #natsec

I am going to speculate that it is very hard to run an investigation and get justice if the investigation secrecy is compromised. So pausing operations makes sense. It is hard enough with obstructionist government, activist judges, courts that don't always seek the rule of law. Compromised investigations makes it that much harder to end corruption.

It's funny that everything the Trump administration is accused of and not proven, even disproven as the Mueller investigation shows - that Canada is doing exactly those things.

So when NF calls Trump fascist and notvproven, where as those things are indeed happening in the such beloved and well functioning country as Canada, does NF properly call Canada fascist? It's a small step from a Socialist country. Just throw in government run media, tax payer money going to big corporations, preventing justice, oppressive control through PMO, Privy Council, unelected Senate, and you are well into fascism. But in Canada we call it helping the citizens.

As NF posted:
"So you think that 4 year cycle politicians should be in charge of monetary policy? Golly gee I wonder how that would turn out?"

Why don't you answer it for yourself? You clearly just stuck your head in the sand in regards to what happened this week in REALITY as per the ECB.

How about this NF: demonstrate you have a clue. Read the article about how your self-appointed, un elected stewards of monetary policy are doing and then tell us how no one can be smarter. Not even a democratic process. You sure love democracy except when it comes to the most important part of our lives, especially in regards to helping those in poverty. When it comes to that YOU DEMAND authoritatian control. So answer your own post and include what is happening in reality to justify your post.

https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/price-gold-just-hit-record-high

By the way, the elected representatives in our rural municipality are responsible for looking after tax payer wealth and providing services and they serve terms with numerous people rotating through. Consistently over decades the budgets are always in the black with a sizeable savings. Do I think they could set monetary policy for an RM better then central bankers? Yes, yes I do. Because they understand serving the needs of the citizens. But no doubt NF prefers authoritatian control like a good little fascist.

But how about this, instead of having a system easily manipulated by men we go back to a system which demands laws of reality be adhered to. Periods documented in history as being prosperous for all.

Once again, posted for others who can understand these things. As this week once again demonstrated.

What do you say NF, you think it's time to vote out the people who run the ECB. Ya, too bad it doesn't matter what you think.

There should be enough hypocrisy floating around this week to suit everyone. But a good chance to “Git them Iranians”

“The move comes amid escalating criticism of Saudi Arabia’s conduct in the war. Lawmakers from both parties have demanded that the United States suspend weapons sales to Riyadh and cut off aerial refueling of aircraft flown by the Saudi-led coalition, which monitoring groups have accused of killing thousands of unarmed civilians.”

I laughed my ass off when I saw this while going thru the twitterverse this evening, warning this vid may not be for everyone, someone who is trying to rob an obviously armed pickup truck driver gets shot and killed on video. It seems to be from South America.

Was funny how first thought that come to mind is how different that interaction was compared to how so many of these keyboard warriors like NF and a few others on here think they are so brave, but in reality this or a fist driving their nose thru the back of their skull is what they would get beaking off like they do if they was standing face to face like a real man would...still want to meet for that beer NF?

Again, this may not be for everyone....

Personal rights is not something the left wing ideology likes. They prefer a full authoritarian power to rule all aspects of their lives and protect them from such things as guns. Of course people possessing guns illegally, and police prevented from doing search, seizure, and prosecution of people in possession of presently legislated illegal guns hasn't been been addressed yet but once guns are banned I am sure they will get around to banning the possession of banned guns. Gun crime in inner cities projected to drop by 90% once guns are made illegal I expect.

Here is something I think people really need to pay attention to. More of my tin foil hat talk proving true.

Indictment today unsealed for bankers rigging precious metals trading via futures market. It's not to hard to rig futures markets of any commodity if you simply treat it as a derivative (represnted by paper) and have an infinite supply of "money" to throw at it plus the government has rules that allow these mechanisms to exist. Sure, it is illegal to do these things but I am sure the very existence that allows this manipulation is coincidence. Just like trade orders being issued in milliseconds give advantage to certain entities. All part of "free markets".

I wonder if banker suicides will tick higher. And how many people will start selling off paper contracts.

If prosecutions like this keep moving forward people will be very upset with Trump for creating chaos in futures trading. If China trade is disrupted already and then futures trading has its apple cart upset then we should have lots of peoples demanding Trump be executed and any legal entities pursuing these matters disbanded. Because that is what people demand - the status quo, right?

Nothing will change overnight but this Indictment is once again proof of what is reality and things must change. You can stick your head in the sand if you want. Same you do with regards to China trade.

Western reporters are very quiet about this topic and the rapid price increases of crude oil and fuels.

Likely don’t want to end up in the Khashoggi stew.

Hey moron, GOP (not conservatives to be perfectly clear) won in 2016 democratically and the only ones rejecting democracy are the democrats. The do nothing democrat controlled congress has yet to accomplish on meaningful act since they've taken power, all the idiots can do is bang the impeachment drum and get nowhere. There's a revolution occurring in the democrat party that makes Pelosi look conservative and it will be their down fall.

Well, I did notice that the writer of your link, Thom Hartmann didn’t bother to mention the shift from the gold standard to pure fiat money in the 1970’s, nor did he mention the out of control inflation of the 1980’s and the +20% borrowing rates and then the capitalization of our present day stock markets with investment money created at 0%. Seems like quite an omission for a smart guy.

I wonder what group he’s trying to gloss things over for?

If you re-read my first paragraph it looks a lot like a 50 year scam plan.

A quote from this week shines light on the problem.

“all of which led, just hours ago, to “the most torrid 30 minutes” witnessed on Wall Street since the global economic collapse of 2007-2008—during which time the Federal Reserve had to pump $53.15 billion of emergency funds into their nation’s banks to keep them solvent—but whose grave consequences of are being hidden from the American people—best exampled by the leftist fake news propaganda outlet CNN comically saying about this emergency bailout of banks by the Federal Reserve: “No one knows why this is happening”.

Looks like the Fed buying back more debt this morning, ZH says $80B today. Because they can. Create money out of thin air to keep the central planned economy via the banking cartel still going. Now NF of course will go cheer on the Fed and say thanks for saving the world but a person with independent thought would look at the cause/effect and realize the central banking cartel is the cause of the problem in the first place. Much like China trade war is not the cause of any economic damage, it is the massive debt bubble built around the world for decades but most significantly since 2008 as the central banks stepped in then to "save the world" and idiots cheered. When you keep saying you are saving the world perhaps its time for everyone to say they should stop destroying the world in the first place.

What's interesting is that there are thousands of people claiming to be experts setting monetary policy and every time money created from nothing is used to paper over the fundamental corrupt nature of the system these same people say they did not account for some extraneous event. With sound money you don't need monetary policy. People can manage their lives without centeal planners intentionally stealing their wealth.

But that's too much tin foil talk for today. All we have known for 100 years is central planning of the most important part of our lives and the last thing many would want is to be set free and make their own way. Much like a slave prefers the safety and basic needs provided by their master. The master knows best, do not ask for freedom - it is nothing but doom and destruction.
