If it's already posted here I apologize, but what are the updates that Case IH added to the early 8010s? Do '04, '05 get the same updates and do they make the combine the same as the '06? Aren't there hp differences in the later years? Does Case IH pick up the tab for the updates for the original owner only and they charge the customer on used units or do they pay for all regardless?

I've never paid much attention to 8010s since they are overkill for our acres. But since I've seem some prices out there, maybe not. I was at only a couple auctions this year, but low hour '04 and '05 8010s were a steal. I could hear a couple different people in the crowds saying to stay away from the early models because they had problems.

their is a whole list of things that have been done mine having all of them a 04 or 05 that has been inspected and certified can have another year of warranty. biggest changes have been to the chopper and cone/cage from 05 to 06 chopper wanted to explode cone and vanes where made wrong machine wouldn't feed. their is also major upgrades to the computer systems and a afs 600 color monitor now I would not be afraid of one but do the work of checking it out closely
