We are detailing and doing a complete go-through on a 2017 CaseIH 8240. Sure wish CaseIH put a little more effort into getting the paint right from the factory. Anyone hear of orange peel?
respectfully disagree, why is it that Deere paint stands up better (less oxidation) and does not have the orange peel? I'm not so sure paint thickness has anything to do with it. I think that CaseIH just plain lacks quality control and an emphasis on fit and finish.
I agree Deere's paint quality is likely better. It could also be that different colors absorb different wavelengths of light and that can degrade the paint faster or slower.
All of my John Deere machines have faded in the sun nearly as much as my Case. Also on both Case and Deere the paint fades differently on the plastic parts (panels, etc) vs the steel.
