Was at Grand Island today, and am wondering what the benefits of the internal european chopper rotor would be and why North America doesn't get it?

Its a rotor with swing blades like most other chopper, as opposed to the fixed blades on the North American Chopper. What is the difference going to be in performance? I assume it wouldn't plug as easily and if something hard made its way that far inside there would be less damage than with the fixed blades.

Andy, Are you talking about a frail chopper? I rent a 2188 about six years ago and my Dealer put that kind of chopper in it. I took more hp. to pull it and it did not chop as well as the standard chopper.
