Anybody out in combine forum land that has extended a 42 ft 1890. I know people have done it. Just looking for some advice and dos and donts. Maybe some pics too. If possible. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
We bought one that was 60 ft 10 inch and besides being 24 ft folded the wings wouldnt fold without sitting just right or a little help. We cut it back to 50 and it works great and just clears most power lines now.
I was thinking 45 feet. But i seen a post on here about someone doing his up to 50 feet. That might be an option too but im worried the height will be an issue
Do you have enough weight? These drills are too light for hard ground. I have a 40' 1690ccs on 15" spacing and have to run the downpressure right at the red when no-tilling in our clay. It gets bouncy with the tanks approaching empty.
A bit late on this one, but I just traded an 1890 that was a 42 extended to a 45, I could get pictures thursday if its still on the lot if you like. Pretty basic though just added a boxed frame on each end and off we went.
