Do you have the Variable-Speed corn header drive????.... if so, are you slowing it completely slow and disconnecting the hose on the top sheaves so it stays slow???????? The sickle drive will explode if it's sped up from the slowest speed on a V/S drive....and make absolutely sure you're not getting reel teeth into the sickle as well.
f-3 sch knifeheads breaking off
Anybody have trouble braking the knifeheads completely off. We have broken 3 in 3 years. When we turn the belt manually the sickle runs smooth. might get a good welder to try to bulk up the 2 welds on the knife head
