It is a pretty simple motor, stick it on a battery and see if it does it's thing. If the motor work (probably does) it is a simple wiring job to get it running. Three position toggle switch in the cab and run a few wires out to it. The way I remember it switching poles switches motor direction.
Probably a good idea to check the fuses and obvious stuff first though.
I did the same thing two years ago, new wiring took a half hour.
