someone mentioned talking the serated plates of the accelerator to help reduse grinding wet corn, will this help or is feeding compromised or am i going to waste my time and not help at all? any thoughts or experiances would be great.
all that should be coming into the combine in corn is cobs. they don't get tangled up and are relatively easy to feed. with all of the wear plates off, the wings are still there to feed the cobs into the rotor. however, if you are going to be switching between crops i.e. soybeans, it would be way to labor intensive to do
