Okay, there are three types of feed accelerators for the 60/70 series combine, according to jd parts. There is the standard feed accelerator. There is the rice feed accelerator (same as tough handling package) which is segmented and runs at a faster speed. Then there is a "fast tine" feed accelerator, has anyone ever heard of it? Any experience? what is it used for? It appears to be segmented like the rice, but smaller segments and more of them. From my experience the rice accelerator in the tough handling package does feed incredibly smooth in tough damp heavy straw conditions, compared to the standard. The fast tine accelerator looks like something that may be an improvement on the rice for tough feeding. Anyone else's thoughts?
