thinking about raising some Holstein deacons up to 450-500lbs, what are my best options for feeding, thanks

What's a deacon? Not familiar with that terminology up here.

Dan, as far as I know, a deacon calf is one that is taken right off the mother. So it usually applies to dairy calves since that's what they do. So this is a calf he's going to start on milk replacer, get eating solid feed, and raise to 450 to 500 to sell as a Holstein feeder.
