Lay the socket in the middle of the hourglass part of the chain link. We use a deep socket of a size that will fit between the teeth in the gear. (Think it was a 3/8 drive socket about 1/2 inch size) Run the zip tie around the socket and both rollers on the link to hold it in place. What you are trying to do is get it to grab the socket before it grabs the link in the chain. In doing so, you are forcing the chain to jump 1 link ahead.
I have had my 575R for a few years now. Love the machine but the service and parts availability suck. Took over a month to come out to service. Was thinking about trading it in for a CaseIh 8120 on tracks. Downfall? Don't know what to do.

Wondering if anyone likes aftermarket chopper knives for a 740? I haven’t looked yet but my oem blades need replacing. Would need complete knives, bushings, bolts. They have been turned so both sides are rounded and wore.
