World record broken at the Fendt Field Day in Canada
Pentagon Farm Centre in Alberta, Canada invited the public to its big Fendt Field Day. Many Fendt fans followed the invitation to Lacombe on 17 October 2014 –¬ after all, the word was out that a world record was to be broken there. The challenge: to gather more than 77 Fendt drivers and their tractors together on one single field in North America. One enthusiastic Fendt driver even travelled more than 13 hours with his tractor to take part.

79 Fendt tractors participated in the parade

On the way to the Fendt Field Day, visitors could already count the different Fendt models – the way to the parking space went right past the row of tractors lined up for the parade.
“I would like to thank all those involved in making this Fendt Field Day such a great event,” said Brian Williams, Sales Manager of the Pentagon Farm Centre. He and his team of organisers succeeded in putting together a parade of 79 tractors. That was more than enough to break the record.
The Pentagon Farm Centre demonstrated tractors performing various tillage operations at the Fendt Field Day. In addition to other programme highlights, including a BBQ, the visitors could watch a demonstration of a tractor felling trees.

Pentagon Farm Centre: Fendt tractors as far as the eye can see

Since it was founded some 30 years ago, the Pentagon Farm Centre agricultural equipment dealer and contractor has grown to become one of the largest volume AGCO sales partners in North America. The Pentagon Farm Centre sells agricultural equipment, including the brands Fendt, Challenger, Hesston, Massey Ferguson, SpraCoupe, Sunflower and Willmar, together with the Alberta Harvest Centre. The Pentagon Farm Centre now has four locations in Alberta, Canada: Lacombe, Millet, Red Deer and Westlock. A new location in Leduc was opened in November 2014.

We were told the previous record was 31 tractors set in Southern Alberta last summer, I'm not sure where the 77 came from.

Next year the goal is to hit 150 in one field, but we are going to need a much bigger field to span that many across. It was a tight fit with the amount we had!

Just a general overview of capability, his flying prowess, iPhone/go camera features.

The drone phenomena is incredible, the uses for for them yet to be discovered.

Already a problem around airports I fear some sort of regulation will not lag much longer.

I read of an incident of a drone hovering near an accident scene that interfered with an emergency helicopter trying to land. There are a lot of perceptions on the internet so whether it was near or a pilot just making a statement is hard to say .
Needless to say there will be more laws.
