have had issues in barley, wheat, chickpeas and sunflowers. we made up a chute and mounted it on top of the engine above the tappet cover. it worked well and kept the area clean. i still recommend cleaning the combine daily with a high flow air. however since deere redesigned the air flow on the later 60's we have not had half the problems. (apart from sunflowers which are always a P.I.A. on any color combine)
