wow, this beast drinks fuel,Iwas doing 100+bu barley at 18%moisture, did about 70 acres on .75 tank of fuel.wow. how is your 9870 on fuel, let me know,I'm really curious. My 9860 with an Illinois dyno tuner was really pretty easy on fuel.this was pretty green straw and a nice stand, but man that seems like a lot of fuel. 2.8 to 3.8 mph. probably averaged 3.2. really doing a nice job though, nothing out the back and a really nice sample.35 foot FD70. tell me about your 9870's.

Ya they like fuel. But you can put lots through them if you need to..... What settings are you running if you don't mind me asking. We are in 100-130 bu barley today @ 19 % moisture, dropping straw throwing lots out the back with HP left... 2.8-3mph 936d header. 850 fan 20 top 6 bottom rotor 750 gap 17. Any less fan and tailings get nasty??

I'm running 610 rotor,1050 wind,16 chaffer,12 sieve, wind 1050, concave at 22.I have the Estes RPR concaves and disrupters.I don't know how you can run that much barley through that sieve setting. if mine was on 6 a lot would go out the back and my return would be full, now I have very little in the return.

Beating the end of our 7000 ac harvest. Average fuel burn is .6 gal/ac. Definitely drinks more fuel than our old 9760. However it can also harvest 50-60 bu wheat uphill at 5-6 mph also. Overall we are happy.
