I'm having trouble keeping the rubber seals in place between the seed meter and manifold on a Flexicoil 2340 cart. Put new ones on last year and the partsman said just use some silicone to stick them on with. It just don't seem to hold them well enough. I've tried numerous glues, contact cement, etc. What has anyone else used with success?

Use yellow weather strip glue.

3m weather strip glue. I find that it is easier to glue the seals to the manifold instead of on the meter. On my 2320 they seem to always pull off when cranking the manifold down.

Do you have trouble lining up the dowels to go into the seals if you glue them to the manilfold?

Lock title makes an adhesive ( can't remember the number 212 ?) it's black recommended by flexicoil. I replaced both seals on my 2320 and the glue worked awesome .

No, glue the seal and then crank up to put pressure on it and make sure it's lined up. Can't see any difference on it being glued to the meter or manifold.

The lock tight stuff was very expensive. The 3m glue was $10-12/tube and will do a few seals. Have reglued seals in the field and by the time I got the manifold back up and in the tractor it was set.
