3450 TBT mechanical cart is giving a communication error tank 2 bin depth sensor. Worked when parked last spring. Have diagnosed, and eliminated the sensor, the wiring all the way to the remote and all connections. So I assume that indicates the remote is at fault? Tank 2 is plugged into the second(bottom) port of the front remote. The rear remote has the bottom port unused. Can I simply swap the two remotes, or does that require reprogramming? Do I understand correctly that these remotes are universal and can be programmed to be whatever you want, and if so, can I program it to use a different unused port for the bin depth sensor.
I also found that the bolts holding the remote were 1 loose, and 1 broken, so the remote would have been bouncing extra, and likely had a poor ground.

As for the fault, it knows that the sensor is there, since if I unplug it, the error and the bin 2 indicator both disappear. It does not tick like usual. The sensor works fine when plugged into tank #1.

I am seeing a few posts on here about controllers for 50 series carts. I switched to Trimble controllers. I should pull my flexi controllers and list them for sale. May help a few guys out. If you do need one, let me know. Mine worked a couple years ago before I switched over. Just wanted better VRA controls for the CSP program I sign up for. Now I am addicted and can't go back :)
Quick glance at the book, try a different remote. If you want to try a used one of mine, give me your part number I will go out and look what my part number is. I am North east of Shelby, MT. Not sure if the drive would be worth it depending on were you are at. Shipping across the border can hold things up for a while.

I got them from triangle ag in fort Benton. They are a completely different system. It uses the trimble FMX or TMX to control the cart. One field iq controller for each tank. Uses existing low tank sensors and fan rpm sensor. Once setup, it works great. Does not use the cart battery or alternator. Still have my alternator on just too keep the fan belts tight. If I ever need to replace I may come up with a idler system. When you switch, the flexi blockage system can not be used that I know of. Maybe the newer ones can ISO, not sure on that. I use IAS blockage system. I don't use the air speed sensors, may be possible to set them up. With IAS, the air speed is obsolete.
