I think I have experienced the dilemma you're facing. The system seems to rebel if the gauge wheels are forced too high in their travel range for a period of time. You may have to tilt the header forward more, if conditions permit that.

Hi this wont help much but we had a 9670 and 640d that did exactly the same thing,drove us mad, had to keep knocking feederhouse out of gear at the ends and reducing pressure, our poor old dealer mechanic pulled his hair out trying to fix it, we did update after update with no luck, we ended up trading the header and front on....i hope u didn't get our trade machine......
