What combine do you run? Have you tried any other brand? What do you like/dislike? Sorry about all the questions but I trade about once every 10 years and I want all the info I can. Looking at late model 970's

Re: ?? for rice farmers using late model New Holla

Most here are John Deere conventional and rotary. Case 2388. or New Holland. Rice and wheat only can not beat the New Holland, especially in down crop. Rotary are ok once you put a stripper head on them, otherwise don't grow any crops that fall over. John deere 95x0 are a lean green sowing machine unless you put a stripper head on. 96x0 are a lot better machine.
Draw back of a New Holland, not good in beans or corn unless you change concaves and drum bars. The rotary are easiest to change between crops.

Cr Dude
Do you have many blocks with the Cr in down rice. Not many people run CR in rice out here in Australia. Nearly all are CX. The TR would not feed evenly. Draper heads have improved threshing on all machines in the last 10 years. What size draper are you running?
